Chinese and English are Hong Kong's two official languages. Hong Kong has a very western "east-meets-west", fusion kind of culture. This is because Hong Kong was owned by Britain in 1950s to 1997; now Hong Kong is owned by China. From this, Hong Kong has a lot of english restaurants and english culture, with the english spoken language and more. Now Hong Kong has a trend of fusion fashion and fusion cuisine where it has a "east-meets-west" theme, in other words, a little bit from both worlds.
